Finals!

Finals week is near for College Students in New York City and students are cramming last minute studying for their finals. Many students really do study all day and night just to do excellent on the finals. I even know one kid that stood in Baruch College for 5 days without shower just to do well on the finals. I'm not going to do that but I am definitely going to study my a** off to pass my Calculus, Business Law and CIS Finals in 2 weeks. Really didn't come all this way just to fail them. I am shooting for a 90+ in each and I am pretty sure I can do it. I think going to the library and studying and getting enough sleep will be the key to doing well on them and not putting so much stress on myself. Hope everyone does well on Finals.

Ending of Semester

It's almost the ending of the college Fall Semester and I honestly can't wait until it's over. I definitely have improved from last Fall Semester as far as staying focus and hitting the books more. But the past 2 weeks I have been slacking a little bit and been not focusing as much as I was in the beginning of the semester. I'm really going to focus these next 2-3 weeks on studying and getting things done.. My sleeping pattern has been off and I have been missing class the past week. Really need to put the extra strength these couple of weeks in order to see those A's in every class hopefully!

CUNY Tuition Hike.

So recently the Board of Trustees had a meeting at my college CUNY Baruch to discuss whether or not CUNY should raise the tuition of CUNY by 300 each school year until 2015. Many students including myself were not happy about this decision because it may lead to future tuition hikes in the future and not many can afford it as of now.

Just like the protesters at Wall Street, many students from different CUNY colleges decided to protest at Baruch where this meeting was being held at. As a result, many students were arrested and being force to stay out of the college by the NYPD and Security .

CUNY is a great system where college can actually be affordable to many young individuals who have to reject going to private universities such as a NYU or Columbia because of the high tuition cost. Especially Baruch College, which is starting to earn a great reputation as one of the Best Business school in NYC and maybe the whole country, is such an affordable college with many graduates finding good jobs after graduation.

The Tuition Hike was passed as a result of the economic struggle in New York and in the United States. Many people wonder what is going to happen next and how will this effect many young individuals who only option is to attend CUNY because of the affordable Tuition. But now that tuition is increasing, one should question if the dropout rate will increase in the next couple of years.

iPhone 4S

So I recently purchased the highly anticipated iPhone 4S for Sprint. And my oh my, is it one cool gadget. This has to be one of the best products that I have purchase in my life.

I was using the iPhone 3GS before this and I was feeling kind of old with the bulky iPhone 3GS while everyone on the train or streets walking with their iPhone 4 or 4S.

The software or application Siri in the 4S is one smart feature that helps you doing things on your phone without even typing or taping the touch screen. You can simply hold down the Home Button and Siri will appear or you can pull the phone up to your ear and start speaking through the speaker, which I thought was pretty cool.

Overall this iPhone 4S is very cool and useful, especially for a business person or a college student such as myself who uses the Siri with exams, homework, reminders etc. Siri is an outstanding software that makes consumers wonder where technology will be like in the next 5-10 years. Will your phone become your best friend and share and express feelings with you? Help you with emotional problems?

iPhone 4S gets a 4.5/5 Stars.

I highly recommend getting this phone especially with Sprint.

STEVE JOBS R.I.P

STEVE JOBS. Really Sad that you are gone. You were a genius and a man that didn't give up.

You brought up an idea with the help of your colleagues & partners. Your idea and innovations changed the way of the world and how we as humans function today. Your creations of the iPad, iPhone, iPod etc has impacted the world in so many ways that many people don't understand.

The other day i was watching a soccer game in Mexico. And as a coach, you need a marker and a whiteboard to show your players the plays or line-up you want to use. But what i saw was incredible 7 understood how much your innovation had an impact on the world. This coach was using the iPad as a chalkboard and showing his players the formations and plays that he wanted to use. Just a few years ago coaches & managers were using scrap paper and markers. Now coaches are using the iPad instead the paper & markers.

This is just one example of how Steve Jobs innovations changed and impacted the world as we now it.
Imagine if Steve Jobs would have never gone back to Apple after he got fired. What would have the world have been today without teh creation of the iPod, iPhone, iPad etc?

Cole World: The Sideline Story

So the much anticipated Cole World: The Sideline Story hit stores and iTunes this past Tuesday 9.27.11
After waiting such a long time for this, i have to say....I love it! Classic written all over it. It seems J. Cole focuses more on story telling rather than crazy lyrics which he is known for. Still this album is a great album and i have heard the whole album over 10x. I Cant get enough of it.

If i was to rank each song excluding the Interlude & Intro. I would put the tracks like this.
1.Sideline 2.Lost Ones 3.Breakdown 4.God's Gift 5.Dollar & a Dream III 6. Never Told 7.Rise & Shine 8.Lights Please 9. Nobody's Perfect 10.Cole World 11.Daddy's Little Girl 12.Mr. Nice Watch 13.In The Morning 14.Can't Get Enough 15.Who Dat 16.Work Out

The way the Interlude goes right into the Sideline Track is awesome & brilliant! And the story he tells in BreakDown, Lost Ones, Never Told, Sideline is just so real that everyone can relate to it in some way. I think this would've been a GREAT CLASSIC if songs such as "Work Out", "Mr. Nice Watch", "Who Dat", & "In The Morning" were replaced with songs such as "Return Of Simba", Premeditated Murder, & Roll Call if it would have been a longer song. I think these songs would of have fit better along with the other songs. But you know, J. Cole had to balance it out for the "catchy" mainstream music & the story telling lyrical songs. I respect that and hopefully he continues doing his thing. Can't wait for whats in store from him next. I am already waiting for the 2nd Album. COLE WORLD>4.5/5.0
